Nico Stojan was born in Berlin, living in Kreuzberg. He got his first record player 1994, when he visited his uncle in Kiel, who ran a club. Nico acquired a second record player and began to use them like instruments. Eventually, he took part in the German Turntablism Championships and Juice Magazine named him “Best National DJ.“ He toured internationally as Dj Nicon, playing to crowds of 30,000, producing music for Kool Savas, and playing after-show parties for the likes of Busta Rhymes and Eminem.
Nico Stojan‘s rise in the Berlin house music scene began with a residency inside the famed walls of Bar 25. His DJ sets – house music injected with modern jazz and soul – is how Stojan made his mark. It was big change in musical direction for Stojan, who began his career as one of Germany‘s best hip hop DJ‘s twenty years ago, in 1996. Stojan has had DJ residencies since he was sixteen, thanks to his feel for music which is apparent in every set and release of his.
After having many successful gigs on the European continent, Stojan entered the international market beyond the European borders. He has played solo in various locations on the coasts of the Asia and in the Middle East, in addition to supporting other major acts in international cities.
