Claptone

Claptone is a German house producer and DJ who performs behind a golden beaked mask and keeps their identity private. The project surfaced in 2012 with “No Eyes”, followed by tracks such as “Cream”, “Wrong” and “Heartbeat”, and the albums Charmer (2015), Fantast (2018) and Closer (2021), released through Different Recordings. Claptone runs the label Golden Recordings and hosts The Masquerade, a touring masked-ball party series staged in cities including London, Amsterdam and Los Angeles as well as Ibiza, where residencies have included Pacha, Amnesia and Chinois. The sound blends deep house, tech house and indie-pop melodies.
